And you're reporting this in your role as a good citizen, are you? Who is being defrauded? - Medicaid? Social Security? I'm sure you have access to the relevant agencies online, and I'm absolutely sure they will run hotlines for people like yourself to report information.

I strongly disapprove of fraud of all kinds, most especially when it concerns public money. And yet, and yet... somehow I can't quite bring myself to wish you luck.

I suppose you wouldn't be in a position to challenge these people and suggest they stop what they're doing, instead?

I guess Geaton understood this post I didn't.

Who is taking care of the woman, a daughter and someone else? Is the daughter being paid from an outside source, like medicaid?

Is the daughter taking her wages and paying someone not approved? Like daughter is being paid for 8 hours but allowing this other person to work those hours and paying them? Or daughter allowing someone else to work those 8 hours and taking a cut? Then daughter works a job under the table?

It may not float with the agency the daughter paying someone else to care for Mom, but I wouldn't worry about it. But it is fraud if the daughter is paying someone else and taking a cut. And being paid under the table is tax evasion on the part of the person employing the daughter.

In my opinion, as long as the mother is being cared for, let it go.

If the caregivers work for through an agency, you can report your concerns to them. If they are directly employed by that person privately, you can try to bring this up to that person but without any concrete proof it is "he said/she said". And if that person LIKES those caregivers, I'm not sure they will want to lose them, no matter what. Are the caregivers taking the money and then not providing care? Is the person they are supposed to be caring for being neglected? If so you can report it to APS in that county.
