A medicare D plan helps to pay for medicines. Likewise, choosing the plan that best covers the individual's particular meds can be helpful. One friend call EVERY pharmacy to see who had the best price. (Surprise, it was a small individually owned place. And they delivered!) Most states have a prescription assistance plan for those with low incomes. Do a computer search for your state. You can also ask the prescriber if there are generics that would meet the person's needs.
