She is on a very limited fixed income and cannot afford to stay in her residence alone nor should she be left alone for much longer. We are looking for any assistance programs she may qualify for or any agencies that can help us locate appropriate housing. She is resistant to selling her house but cannot maintain it on her own any longer. She has fallen behind on her maintenance bills and is in need of a new residence as soon as possible. She has a potential buyer for her home but cannot consider a sale until she has somewhere to go. Any help we can receive would be greatly appreciated!!

Assisted living is the best option for people who need a basic level of supervised care. One of my friend has shifted his grandfather to a senior housing in [Morris County NJ](http://jchcorp.org/lester-senior-housing-whippany-nj-community-life/) as they live there. They do have a great staff with maximum amenities.

If you Google Assisted Living Dayton Ohio, you will find a variety of places that range from about $2000 a month and up. How long will funds from the house last? You need to find out if various facilities accept Medicaid after a certain period of private pay.

Do you have POA for her? Make sure you've got all the legal/finance stuff lined up before her dementia gets worse.
