You can check with your local Senior Center, Volunteer organization to see if they need one. (often they will loan out equipment) Keep in mind most people that need a hospital bed can get one through their insurance or if they are on Hospice one will be provided. Many donation/resale places might take it but they may not take the mattress unless it is one that can be cleaned/sanitized. Other options might be to place it on the curb the morning of your garbage pick up, a metal scrapper will take it or bring it to a metal recycle station and get paid for the metal.
