When a person with Alzheimer's dementia can no longer safely live alone and has no one available to provide sufficient assistance to ensure a reasonable degree of safety at home, then it is time for that person to move to a facility that can provide the level of care required. Obviously, there's a lot of complexity in making these decisions that will be dependent on individual circumstances.
