Mother will use Medicaid and only has S.S. check. Does facility use check to continue to pay her bill?

No. Your parent’s check goes to pay nursing home less a small personal needs allowance, usually about $60-$100. If there is credit card debt, the person on Medicaid no longer has money to pay. They default. If there is a co-signer, the credit card companies will look to them for payment. The credit card should not be used at that point because there is no way to pay it.
