When an elderly parent lives at home and they need 24/hr care, but they don't have the extra money are there government services for free?

lhghealthcare, there is Medicaid [which is different from Medicare] that will do around the clock care, but not at home. One would need to move to a nursing home to have the government pay for everything.

Medicaid is a taxpayer funded program, thus it is less expensive to have the around the clock care in a facility.
