What do we have to report to Medicaid in sale of trailer home?

My mother is going into Nursing Care. She has no assets except her trailer. My brother and I want to Sale the trailer and use it to pay for her burial expenses as she has not paid to be buried. The Trailer has a worth of $12,000. Her burial expense with Head stone is $13,500. What do we have to report to Medicaid?

Your best bet is to contact your Mom's State Medicaid office to get an answer to that question. Every State has their own rules and regulations, and those are always changing.
