Rude caregivers, facility nasty, have to sit on a bed pan for 30 minutes at a time even when it is overflowing. When I came in at 5pm last night, I got none of my medicine until 11 and then all I got was 1 percocet 10/325 until this morning and I got medicine and 1 15mg of morphine. I would rather be home or dead than here! Please tell me what to do to get to another facility!

About the meds. That’s pretty normal for the date of arrival. They get your med orders when you get there. Sometimes it’s too late to get delivery that day and you don’t get the meds until the next day. It depends on several factors that have to all work out. Friday at 5 would have been much worse than Thursday at 5.
See what you think about the therapy. Hopefully it’s good and the food is passable. It would probably be difficult to be moved over the weekend. I was traumatized along with my mom in her first rehab but we had to admit that the therapy was great.
My poor dad was calling out for the police during his first therapy in a hospital. He said “they” were trying to make old people do things they couldn’t do. They ordered him home therapy and he fell in love with his therapist. She was really cute and had him back on his tractor soon. Wishing you good luck on getting acclimated or moved.

This may be comical in a way, but is there a social worker on staff you could talk to (if you have not done so already)?

Discuss with your family and those involved in your care, and together, meet with the management regarding your complaints. That's the starting place. Remember there is no perfection in caregiving situations and in facility care, but your concerns should be addressed and taken seriously.
As to where you can go to another facility that may be worth discussing with such agencies as A Place For Mom and others that work with elders to choose the facilities that best meet their needs given their current financial status.

Wishing you the best of luck.
Do know that you can request an Omsbudsman visit. And if you feel neglect is serious and threatening to your own or the safety of others you can call APS and request a wellness status visit.

If you are cognizant and able to make your own medical decisions you are within your rights to contact any other Rehab facility and arrange to be transferred to any facility that
Has a bed available
Is able to manage your care
Will accept your insurance
the new facility will help facilitate the transfer as well as arrange transport

If you are unable to make these decisions yourself for whatever reason your POA or Guardian can arrange the transfer
