You cannot possibly do that! You said you are disabled, so do nothing.
Do nothing. Save yourself!

Explain to the hospital social worker (privately if need be) that you are unable to do this,,, period. She will help set up rehab, etc. Do not give in, do not back down. Tell hubs and family she needs more care than you can give.. again .. period! I am a bit confused about what is up with Dad/husband? can't contact?

It would be best to say no upfront. Tell them you can't possibly do that because your time is so stretched already. If they say it will just be for a short while, still say no. A short while can stretch out to a long while and your home could turn into a nursing facility with only one employee if I understood what you wrote correctly.

You have the right to say no. There are other options for your MIL. There would be no need to look at the other options if you became her caregiver. It would be an unfair trade -- your time and happiness for her preference to not go into a skilled nursing facility.

You're already caring for one person, you can't care for another. Tell them you won't care for someone else and that other arrangements are going to have to be made.

Say "no". Do not allow her to be brought to your home.

Your husband's side of family is going to have to do what is necessary for the person who has the compression fracture. Your plate is beyond full. Calmly and candidly explain this to your husband. He is the responsible party in this equation.
