Where I live the County has an Emergency Management Dept. You can also sign up with them that you have someone who needs electricity like for oxygen. My DH is listed because he is deaf without his hearing aide. So, if the Fire Truck goes down the road blasting we need to evacuate for a gas leak. as has happened, they know they need to knock on our door in case I am not home.
If you haven't been given any, look carefully on the mattress to find the manufacturer's label. Then go to the manufacturer's website and either you'll find the instructions there, or there'll be a contact or customer service form where you can ask for one.
Tips: don't use fitted sheets that will interfere with the mattress's deflation/inflation rhythm (i.e. if you must use fitted ones, make sure they are strictly designed for the purpose with 2-way stretch).
I don't know if this will apply in your area, but it may be worth contacting your electricity supplier and asking if they have a priority customer list. If so, let them know that you have a variable pressure air mattress in your home; for an example of the benefits, in the event of any outage that affects you they'll get onto it pronto. Or so I found with Western Power Generation and Distribution, who I think deserve this little round of public applause for it.
My mother has an air mattress and we change and turn her every three hours. No redness on her bottom noted. I have the air pressure on about 3 1/2. It is medium pressure. She sleeps well most nights.I would discuss it with the wound center Nurse/ PA and see what they think. My mother loves her air mattress and it is so comfortable.
