I live out of state and went for a quick weekend visit for my mom's birthday. My sister's and I had plan to have cake and ice cream. When my older sister came over she asked where mom was, we all turned around an to our shock she's outside without her pants on! In all my 60 years with her none of us has ever seen mom without clothes on ever! After cake she opened gifts, to our amazement mom took her shirt off and put on a tank top she just got. This is so not our mom. So we're wondering what stage she might be in?
From our research and mom's symptoms we're thinking she's in stage 5, we know all patients are different but is this the beginning of more surprises?
If she was diagnosed in 2012, she is very likely not the mom that she was then, and you will need to be observing the surprises as her new way of life.
It’s so good that you’ve been researching the ins and outs of cognitive loss, but be aware that the descriptions you’ll be reading are very general. When the mind begins to fail, whatever occurs in it will be u inquest, and so will be the reaction of the patient to it.
