Daddy had been having more potty accidents so we talked & he agreed that it would be better to go to full time adult briefs. My husband & I change him 4 to 5 times a day. We clean him every time to make sure he does not get any rashes or bed sores. Just want him to be as comfortable as possible! Thank you for any suggestions. We are using men's depends right now. Thank you & God Bless you all! 🙏❤💙

If you use an extra absorbent pad make sure it is one that is designed to go into an incontinent brief. Some of the pads have a "leak proof or water proof" backing so excess fluid will not reach the incontinent brief and the pad itself may leak and the brief may not catch it because it will leak around the leg area right where the edge of the brief is.
Once my Husband was in briefs, first the pull up then the tab type I would change him about every 2 hours, 3 at the most. Once in a while there were still MAJOR leaks.
Depends I think now has a variety of absorbency levels you might want to see if the one you are getting is one of the most absorbent available.
My conclusion after years of changing, years of leaks is that no matter what you do there will be leaks and sometimes changing more often is the way to go.
Checking every 2 hours not only you are changing the brief and even if it is not SAOKING most of the time they are wet but a change of position is good for the skin and circulation in general.

Have you tried putting the Kotex type pads(they make them just for men, I just can't remember the name ) in his Depends as well? I had to use them for my husband for quite a while, but when he became completely bedridden, I started using the diapers with the side tabs as they were easier to get on and off him while he was in the bed. Again I don't remember the name of them, as they were ordered from Medline, through Hospice. Hope that is helpful, and hopefully more folks will have better answers for you. God bless.
