With type II, you modify your diet. With Type I you also take insulin. If your blood sugar is low, you become irritable, even lower, confused. On the other hand, if it's too high, you are drowsy, feel drunk. It is important that those you live and work with can tell the difference and know what to do. They would give you a piece of candy when it is low, and remind you to take insulin if it is high. If you can't get the insulin in, they call 911.
