What happens to a joint bank account after death if person was on Medicaid?

Does the money (small amount - under $4000) get taken by Medicaid after a person dies in New York State?

No, in MN the money belongs to the surviving account holder. Not sure of the limit.

No. Money belongs to the surviving account holder. NY state allows $15k in the bank also so....the money doesn’t go to Medicaid.
