if you resort to a yard sale i think youll be doing a lot of hard work for nothing. americans are buried in junk and many are letting stuff go and downsizing their lives. id sell the lot to an auction house or something. my mom left a small safe full of old coins. i gladly gave them to the first family member stupid enough to take them. it would have taken me hundreds of hours to find a buyer, haggle over every piece then get cheated anyway. one persons hobby is another persons waste of energy. ( imo )

Hi there, when my grandmother passed away, my mother had an auctioneer come in. They got rid of almost everything and took a percentage. When my mother moved in with me, we told family and friends to take what they wanted, then donated a lot of what she wasn't keeping. Financially, this was our best decision, since we were putting the house on the market.

Kittinger Furniture was made in Buffalo NY, all custom made pieces. Get an appraisal from an antique dealer before you let them go. An estate sale specialist can also give you a good idea of what they are worth. Even some costume jewelry is collectible and goes for a good price.
