The man is incontinent, blind, he has mobility issues and heart problems and many other issues. He seems to know that he is dying. His wife I think may have dementia. She has depression and heart problems and she is not taking care of her husband properly. They have no children that they can lean on and they have been taken advantage of by some gambling addicts that used to live down the road. They have stolen money from them and are very manipulating towards the elderly couple. They come over and dig though their things and try to isolate them from others who are trying to help the couple. The elderly couple are hoarders and they are not well off financially. I am very concerned about the wife not giving the husband his medicine on time leaving him home alone and not feeding him. I don’t want to get her in trouble because I love them like they are my grandpa and grandma but I just know that they need someone to care for them daily and I don’t know what to do. Please help.

Find Care & Housing
Call Adult Protective Services for their county (APS) at the Department of Health and Human Services asap. Make sure they know that they are being abused by the others and try to identify them to the county so they know who is who in this scenario. If you know that they have any responsible and caring relatives, especially any who are local, please also contact them. Most likely the county will take guardianship over them and will eventually place them in a facility, or do whatever is in their best interests. Bless you!
