Find Care & Housing
Dementia affects mental abilities mostly, but physical changes start to happen as the disease progresses. I've seen my mother become incontinent, imbalanced, lose core strength........all sorts of things. According to the Alzheimers website, here is a list of some of the physical issues a person with dementia/Alzheimer's may expect to suffer:

Loss of balance or coordination
Stiff muscles
Feet that shuffle or drag when you walk
Trouble standing or sitting up in a chair
Weak muscles and fatigue
When and how much you sleep
Trouble controlling your bladder or bowels
Seizures and uncontrollable twitches
