Find Care & Housing
I hope you aren't asking for info from this site as an option for choosing care; we are just a group of people caring for, or with experience having cared for elder family members, or elders trying to figure our way forward. The ads you see on the right of the page are sponsors who support the site, and you access them for questions by clicking on their ads.
If you are asking in general so much depends on whether you find trusted care from an individual who is recommended to you, or whether you go through an agency. There are reasons many prefer the latter in that most agencies "vet" people for history and insure them against theft, and etc. And these are questions you should ASK of the agency. As agency care versus one on one from a recommended caretaker can easily run twice as much.
Last I checked through an agency it was, in California, approximately 30.00 an hour and a minimum of four hours three times a week; they did have a few recommends for private individuals who did not require a minimum. If you find a caregiver for in the home you are likely looking, in my state, at 15.00 to 20.00 an hour depending on what you want done, and costs for mileage if you need to be driven to shopping, appointments. The best thing you can do is explore in your own area. Wishing you luck.

We are a caregiver forum, not an agency.

If you look for the "find care" tab, you will get the names of agencies in your area.
