My 95 year old mother lives alone. I live six (6) houses away from her. She has health issues that keep increasing. Her living with us is not possible. My siblings can't help with her care. I want to put in monitoring cameras in her home but am at a total loss on what is the best for what I am able to provide due to financial issues. I don't know enough about the technology to be well informed. I've read and read and read and read and asked questions on the subject. I would like to hear personal experiences on what others have done to keep an eye on a parent without being right there with them 24/7/365. She doesn't want the bracelet or necklace monitoring - she wants to be only connected directly to me. Any suggestions?

Find Care & Housing
I have used the Blink camera system in my home for the last couple of years. I purchased them on QVC(and they're not very expensive) to keep an eye on my husband who has been bedridden in my living room for the last 21 months. I had been getting up over night to check on him, but now with the cameras, I just pull up my living room on my phone, and can see how's he doing without getting out of bed. They've worked great. Now I have the older models that do have sound coming from whatever room you have them in, but they now make them with 2 way sound, meaning that you can not only check on your mom in her house. but you can also talk to her and hear her when she responds.
I'm not very tech savvy either, but the Blink System is easy for me to use. Good Luck.
