I always think that the Michael J Fox Foundation is a highly knowledgeable source for information on Parkinson's. Here is what their website says:

"Parkinson’s disease is sometimes referred to as a "boutique" disease: It is unique to each person. You cannot predict which symptoms you will get, and when you will get them."

A broad path may be described, but there really aren't predictable stages as there are in, say, Alzheimer's disease. This is also true for Lewy Body Dementia.

If someone mentions "stage 3" to you in regard to PD, you might want to ask them what they mean.
