I am currently caring for my disabled uncle in a home that was owned by a recently deceased relative. The house had a reverse mortgage and is now in probate. My disabled uncle’s brother claims he is going to have my uncle come live with him but I am worried that they will just take advantage of him and his money. Also, for the last 6 months I have been caring for him I have been unable to work or even leave the house. I have gotten no compensation and definitely no help from family, including his 4 other siblings. What are my rights and how can I get my uncles brother to take my uncle ASAP so that I can start looking for work and another place to live, once this house sells?

Find Care & Housing
I would give a formal written notice stating that as of April 30 you will be moving out, send it to all of them. If you don't get any response from them then I would also inform APS of your circumstances and that your uncle will be without a caregiver as of that date.
As for compensation, it would be nice but unless you had a written contract don't hold your breath.
