We are Medicaid pending. They said to pay for nursing home with her check which will be all but 44.00. Any advice?

Pay the nursing home. All of her income goes to the nursing home now minus her personal needs allowance. She does not get to keep her check anymore. All of her income goes to the nursing home and Medicaid pays the rest.

So just to clarify...is Medicaid telling you your Cost Of Share (the amount you owe the NH each month) will be the difference between her SS check minus $40? What advice are you needing? Are you questioning that amount? Or who to pay?
