Creative Aging: Finding Connection and Memory in Art & Nature [Virtual]
When: Sunday, December 6th, 2:00 pm EST / 11:00 am PST
Registration Link: https://onblend.tealeaves.com/creative-aging/

Event Description:
How can art and garden design help us achieve a renewed sense of wellbeing? How can solutions for those living with memory loss and dementia extend to all of us? How might we all benefit from the tonic of nature, even when we cannot leave our homes?

Join the Frye Art Museum, the UW Memory and Brain Wellness Center, and Microsoft in a gathering focused on the power of present-moment awareness, creativity, and sensory experiences with nature. During this panel discussion and Q&A, we will explore the spiritual, emotional, physical, and neurological effects of nature through practical examples of programs developed for those with memory loss, dementia, and their care partners. We’ll explore how the principles of inclusive design were applied in the development of these programs and provide suggestions for you to leverage nature as an antidote to the perils of everyday life during a pandemic.

TaylorAnne, if this is in any way an ad could you pass it past the admins on the contact form. I absolutely love both art and gardening, and I think our seniors do the best art in the world other than the art of children, which runs neck and neck with them. I am assuming this isn't an ad for a product, involving a payment. If it is, just run it past AgingCare admins so you can legitimately post.
In any case, thanks for this info.
