Walmart caskets?

It really doesn't matter what type of casket you have. Cemeteries require vaults now that keeps water and bugs out.

"Must the Body Be Embalmed? Embalming is almost never required. In New Jersey, a body must be embalmed only if it will be transported by common carrier (such as a train or an airplane) and it will not reach its destination within 24 hours."

I think if you aren't embalmed you need to be buried within 24 hrs or have a closed casket.

My GF's mother bought hers at Sam's Club. It was stored in the barn until needed. When she passed. she was placed in the casket and buried in a private family cemetery out in the country. Embalming as not required because of the local laws.
