US citizens who are not currently in the US are still legally allowed to vote and can have their ballot mailed to their current location. Not everyone uses the same user ID in every forum either. There’s no reason to google the OPs name and then assume they are the same person behind the same ID on other forums.

One can register to vote online (or at a polling place).

Sorry you are sick.

What State or Country are you in?

In GA we have absentee voting by mail. You don't even have to give a reason. Call your local Registrar's office & see what your options are.

Online? I don't know of any place that you can vote online. By mail though is quite common. Contact your county and ask to be a mail voter. They will send you a ballot and then you return it in the mail.

Worried, in my smaller city, we have no local elections office.  The City Clerk's office handles voting.   Same situation exists for other communities  in this area.

That’s interesting, there’s nothing at the county level? In the states I’m familiar with, voting is usually done at the county level, it’s a usually a county run department. The city clerk does handle paperwork for local politicians but not the voting stuff :)

You need to contact your county elections office. It’s too late to request a mail in ballot for today’s election if you are in one One of the 14 states holding a primary election today. But you have time to request one for the next election. You can also request vote-by-mail ballots online, just re-register to vote and click the box to receive a mail in ballot. In most states, the city clerk is not who you would contact. It’s your local elections office that you contact.

Since your profile doesn't provide any information on the state in which you live, you'll have to contact your local city clerk and ask them (a)  when the primary is, and (b) how to get an absentee ballot.
