Is there assistance with travelling to Dr and he needs help to buy food. I don't know anything about veterans but hopefully someone in the forums can direct me to any financial assistance.
Based on his income there is an assistance he can apply for through the veterans admin. For example if his SS is $500 a month he can get a supplement to bring it up to $750 a month. He can also apply for food stamps. The county where I live also will take seniors to their doctors appointments for $3.00 each way. Get in contact with your local VFW, they have a plethora of information for veterans.
