This is extremely painful out of all proportion to the extent of the injury. of course the broken tail can be surgically removed but in this case probably not practical. It mainly hurts when sitting down or getting up so make sure your patien always has some thing soft to sit on especially at the dining table or even if he/she goes out to eat and in the car. As you know it is broken i assume there has been some medical care. Don't let the patient sit around more than usual they should continue their usual activities. Review your home safety hazards.
