((((((hugs))))) I am too, and mother is not at home with me but in a facility

There comes a time for some caregivers where they have to place their parent in a facility as the burden of caregiving is too much for them. The latest figure is that 40% of caregivers die before the person they care for, Sounds like you need to make some changes. . Do you get any respite? There is good information here about resources.

Can you tell us more about your situation, your dad's health issues and financial status, if you have POA, of you have family or home care that helps and so on. There is a lot of experience on Aging care.

One caution - take care of you. The caregiver, like the parent on the plane, needs the oxygen first.

Get help. If you have to, call Social Services for help. Try your cousins, aunts uncles, minister.
