I live with my 88 yr old grandmother who has macular degeneration. She used to listen to books on tape but now she cant really follow the stories. She has COPD so walks aren't really an option for us. I am looking for any kinds of activities she might be able to engage in and enjoy.

How about music - get CDs or downloads for music from her era or show tunes. Take her for a walk with her in a wheel chair, the sound of kids in a playground may warm her heart. Get a light weight colorful beach ball. Toss it back and forth with her. Get some of the large fashion magazines. Go thru them with her and discuss the fashion items she can see. Take her to a local school music program or a Sunday afternoon music program at a church.
