Find Care & Housing
Consult with an ACA group--Adult Children of Alcoholics. Check with your local churches, they may have such a group, or some larger churches have a staff social worker or psychologist who has it as their job to help anyone in their local community (members and non-members). There are millions of caregivers with very heavy burdensome pasts, now faced with new burden of caring for a former (or current!) alcoholic parent. You are not alone. Please post some updates!

Take your mom to meetings!!!!!!! There are AA meetings all over the place every day. She can get a sponsor, she can even get rides (thereby making your life a bit easier, she will make acquaintances, then friends, she will discover that her negativity is childish and embarrassing, she will gain a new outlook, she will be easier to live with sober!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

There are plenty of handicapped people in AA. Take her, wheel her in, leave her. Pick her up. Wait for the miracle to happen.
