Nana, you'll have to apply again if you move to NC. Food assistance and Medicaid are handled by the states, so don't transfer like a federal program would.

Nana, you would need to apply and be accepted by the North Carolina Medicaid department.... each State has their own rules, regulations, and programs.

Medicaid and food stamps are state controlled programs...this means that you cannot switch them from state to state. If you want to move to a new state you would have to apply for and meet the eligibility requirements for these programs in your new state. You should check what those requirements are for north carolina ... one example of a requirement may be established residency...which means you would have to live there for x amount of time before you can apply.
