I wake up in the morning and think of her. I think of her during the day. On the days I call her I keep thinking about her off and on till I call her. She has anxiety disorder and is negative person. Me too. But I have been able to decrease my anxiety and negativity. But her negativity has been getting to me a lot lately and my anxiety has come back up some.

Can you tell us a bit more about your situation with your mom? Your profile doesn't have much info. Does she still live in her home? Does she have major medical problems? Is it possible that your worry is well founded, in that she needs more care than she's getting at home (if that's where she is) and that your mind is concerned about that?

If she's well cared for and your anxiety is more unrealistic, you can get some short-term counseling to work with your fears/anxiety and learn to challenge them and then release them. The kind of therapy is cognitive behavioral therapy and can work well with anxiety issues.

I was on Prozac for about ten years, and it began to lose it's effect. I switched to Cymbalta and that helped a lot. Something to consider. And I add in Ativan on days when I feel overwhelmed. Limiting caffeine also helps.
