Based on the Alzheimers Association Stages...my wife is approximately stage 6c and Tam Cummings Guide is most of stage 5 with a few stage 6 symptoms thrown in...

The Alzheimers Association guide does not discuss short term memory loss related to the stages whereas Tam Cummings guide states that Stage 5 has moderate short term memory loss...and discusses levels of memory loss in more detail per stage.

My wife’s symptoms more accurately fit the short term memory loss reflected in the Tam Cummings guide...

I am interested in feedback on your LO symptoms related to memory loss in stage 6-6c...

If you are familiar with both guides, which fit your LO symptoms the most..?

My husband would like to fit my mom into one of the stages, but I don't find she fits into any one of the mid to late stages in either guide. She seems to show most behaviors in the mid stages in both guides and a few behaviors in the late stages in both guides. I suppose no one moves abruptly into each stage, but for her all is very slowly changing and sometimes late stage behaviors stop for many months to a year, then return.
