My 89 year old father with dementia rolls over in his sleep onto his colostomy bag causing it to leak or even pop. Any bed equipment to keep him from rolling over? Any ideas?

A wedge is more difficult to remove and place it under the bottom sheet. Place a flat sheet on top of the fitted sheet. (I have a flat sheet under my husband so that I can roll him, this is called a "draw sheet")
In any case a wedge shaped pillow or firm foam is a bit more difficult to move out of the way.
But it would necessitate someone placing the wedge under/next to him once he got into bed and if he gets up at night someone would have to move it.
I will ponder this over night......(I do love trying to come up with solutions)

We have tried a pillow and even one of the long body pillows. But he moves it and throws it on the floor.

Just a thought....
Can a wedge or pillow be placed to his side so he can not roll in that direction? He could roll the other way or partially roll but not all the way over onto his side.

I'm just spitballing but what if the bag was in a shoebox overnight? The box could be cut to accommodate the tubing. If your dad does roll over it he might wake up when he tries to roll against the shoebox or if he rolls right over it the shoebox may protect the bag from breaking.
