My mother is 68 and has very low vision (almost legally blind) along with some other medical health issues. Are there SNFs in Texas which are geared more toward the visually impaired individual?

Odds are no, but there is help out there! We have had 3 generations of blind! When you count the aunts and uncles it's a bunch! The ones that aren't living, died at a nice ripe old age. The trick is to teach the staff about blindness (most don't have a clue). Check with your local state office of services for the blind, most have a division just for seniors. This could be you best resource and it's free.

I'm headed in the right direction, as I didn't believe there were homes geared for such. Thank you so much Ms. Robin.
