My mother recently became widowed and my sister took her in to get to her assests. As power of attorney I moved my parents money to an unknown place in her my mothers name. My sister says she is filing charges on me unless I return the money. Mom has no clue what is happening.

She might have grounds for legal complaint if your not providing enough money for her to care for your mom. Since your mom has altimers, I say do the ultimate, and file for guardianship which will over power your sister on all affairs; if ruled in your favor. The court will automatically make you notified all concerned ie..siblings, etc.. So be ready w/your evidence that she's taking from your mom, how much your providing to your sis to care ie..mom's bills/care equip/supplies/food,bank statments, etc.. More than likely your sister will contest you in court and probably counter for guardianship. It will all depend on who has your mom's best interest, and actually doing the right thing. It sounds like you'll are already feuding over this, but it can get ugly w/when and if you file for guardianship of your mom.

Oh, and you need the doc statement/letter stating she has altimers for your court case. As seen on all court shows..evidence, evidence, evidence to prove your case.
