My mother survived an illness where doctors advised she was to go on hospice. We placed her in a home for this care however, the will power she has helped her to survive. My husband and I brought her home once fully recovered but, now she needs care 24 hrs a day and I cannot fathom going back to work requiring her to be left alone. My mother made a remark about being compensated for her care at home by the government but, I have no idea how to apply to received compensation for this. Anyone have any suggestions please?

Check with your state Medicaid program about home care, or if she was married to a wartime veteran, check VA benefits for surviving spouses at va. gov
