Find Care & Housing
thank you so very much. I would prefer not to get him up , because as it is, I am exhausted from the day to day caregiving.

Are you yourself wanting to get up every few hours overnight to take him to the bathroom so he won't "soil himself" as that is what will need to be done?
Before my late husband got his permanent catheter, he was up every hour to go pee, and because he was a fall risk I had to get up with him.
It took a great toll on us both as we were both exhausted.
I would just let him sleep overnight with his Depends on and an extra absorbent pad in it, so you too can get your sleep.
And just make sure that you have a waterproof mattress pad on the bed along with waterproof pads underneath him.
