Should a decubitus (pressure injury) be left alone to progress until sepsis? Is there any benefit in not trying to stop tissue loss?

Thanks Earlybird! Doing and hoping. Two necessary steps that have given me strength and maybe will save dad from injury crescendo.
I think I would be in worse shape without the attention, advice and concern from people like all of you in this forum guiding and even pushing me to rethink and even confirming I should push others for help for dad.
Strangely, I remember almost every single reply or comment. For me this is serious and for you is selfless concern.

Now I am thinking about investing on a moving matress. Gently moves body from side to side. Not so high tech....just cells that inflate and deflate repositioning body automatically.
Decubiti is due to immobility so all beds should become rockers where there is a immobile patient in rehab. I will always tell everyone prevention at all costs is the best treatment. After the fact .....rehab through movement is still a good treatment. Wait and see if wound progresses is sadistic especially if this approach is daily week after week.

Can sepsis be stopped by medihoney and hydrogel? There must be something else coadyuvant! I am concerned they may simply want to continue something like this. Promised visit for tomorrow.
From Saturday to Monday and now to Wednesday. So many hours will have passed for wound on its own means trying to mend! I feel that wound is ticking waiting. So worrying.

Oh no! My gut feeling was right. Time is precious!
I agreed to hospice service straight from hospital discharge specifically due to his stage IV sacral injury. Just started saturday with a hospice nurse visit/general assesment.
Dad is not in final days. He is watching TV and very hungry .....just in bed still. I was warned not to try sitting him up until .....who knows when! I have been using positioning cushion. A U WEDGE. Changed dressing 3 times. Leaves me trembling for hours especially thinking I am not helping it correctly. Feels I am just hiding it from view.
