Which of her doctors is treating her for dementia? Does s/he knows that your mom is not taking her prescribed meds? Have you reported her duicidsl ideation to her doctor?

It's great that you called the crisis line! But now you need to followup with her doctor.

It sounds as though she may have reached the point where she is no longer safe in a regular home environment. You may need to get her into a memory care unit for her own safety.

Lock up all scirrors, knives and sharp objects. Call her dr., explain what is happening. Sounds like she is a danger to herself and to others. This disease takes us places we never thought possible. Skilled nursing may be your best bet. Good luck

That's lovely news that she's better today. You still need to let her doc know that it happened.

Changes in mental status are symptoms that need to be reported to the physician who is managing her care.
