You may have to have her go to a nursing home. You can only do so much. If she is on Medicaid, that would pay for nursing home care. It's admirable for you to do all that you can, but if she is in a good nursing home, she'll get good care, and you'll still be part of the care team - just not doing it all alone.

As our system stands, Medicare and Private insurance rarely pay for what you say you need. Some Long term care insurance policies do that, but it doesn't sound like she has one.

Take care of yourself, too.

Thanks for responding to my question. I have told my husband and his brother they really need to start checking out nursing homes. But my husband is so slow about getting things done. And his brother lives in Fla. They both know I am here with her 24/7 so I wouldn't dare let anything happen to her. I'm just getting tired. I'm on disability myself. I could just use a break now and then.
