Your mother is exhibiting signs of anxiety and agitation which is common with Alzheimer's and dementia as it progresses. You don't enjoy her fighting you, and she's not enjoying the fight. Call her doctor right away to discuss calming medicine such as Ativan to relax her a bit. Get a hospice evaluation ( her doc can order one) and they can bring a bolster pillow type thing to put on top of a hospital bed to cup her body and prevent or cut down on the falls. Not all of them......my mother fell 95x due to thinking she could walk when she couldn't. You can't fix dementia. But You can medicate her to where she's functioning on a better level in general, meaning so are YOU.
Then look into placement bc it's time to consider that now.
I suggest you read this 33 page booklet online about managing dementia and what to expect with an elder who's been diagnosed with it. Lots of Do's and Don't tips for dealing with dementia sufferers are suggested in the booklet.
