I recently applied for the "Aid and Attendance Program" through the VA. They will help with cost for inhome care if you qualify. Lots of paperwork and it takes maybe 6 to 12 months before approval. On a good note, they can pay up to $1200 a month and the money will be retroactive from when you applied if you qualify. Hope this helps

I* have processed many applications as a Va Accredited Attorney and the shortest time I have gotten one approved has been 14 months, most take much longer.

James, one poster here got it done in 4 months. He had a friend at the VA.

Well I must have all enemies at VA. Don't know why, I'm a Veteran.

It took about 10 months for my mom to get aid & attendance.
