Find Care & Housing
It's so good that you are being pro-active and thinking ahead. Depending on where you live; there are subsidized living complexes for the elderly. It might be worth looking into as they have waiting lists. You have to meet their criteria with respect to income; but definitely worth a try.

Also, some assisted living facilities will accept medicaid after finances are depleted. One woman I know, sold her home and went into one of these facilities. The profit from selling her home paid the monthly bill until she reached a certain amount and then she applied to medicaid and was easily accepted. When you research on the computer, the facilities will list if they accept medicaid or not. This is all I can think of doing. Best to you.
