Can someone get the same strain of flu virus in one season?

I got the flu shot this year and got type A. im on the mend dont want again

Once you get the flu, you are immune from getting that flu again within the same season.

This season's flu shot, as you found out the hard way, didn't cover all the current strains of flu. But the shot was better then nothing.... you probably would have been a lot sicker without it.

Glad you are now on the mend.
