It depends on what type of caregiver. One from a professional Agency? One who is taking care of a parent/spouse? One who is an Certified Nursing Assistant? One who is a companion?

It all depends on the going rate for where one lives. Higher salaries are mega metro areas compared to less salaries for small towns where the cost of living is less.   Also depends if the patient is paying or if one is being paid through a State program.

And what chores and responsibilities.

As for taking care of a parent, the salary would be whatever the parent and the grown child agree upon.
