My father was recently diagnosed with psychosis. I am looking for any resources that would help me understand it more. He seems to get worse at night and sees things that are reflected in the window outside. Animals on the top of car, people on and in car. I have closed the drapes and that helps, but he sees people in the house also.

I"m no expert, but, from what I read, psychosis can be caused by any number of things, including dementia. Is he dealing with that too? I think that I would discuss it with the psychiatrist, assuming that he has one. If not, I'd find one to treat him. I'd ask about medications and other behavioral therapy. Is he able to participate in cognitive therapy?

And if things were still not well, I'd ask about him being kept inpatient until he's stable.

I found some things online. I'll PM you a link.
