Chester Valley Rehab was authorized to take $1500 as part of my copay but instead maxed my credit card out at $8000 leaving me with no money to pay for therapy and all my other bills including a tax lean that will go on my house in December.
I am only able to pay the minimum monthly credit card payments which will take over 20 years to pay off.
They ignore any requests for help and will not even send me an itemized bill justifying the charges.

I'm afraid that you are going to have to consult a lawyer. Gather up copies of everything you signed and every bill and statement you've received.

Good luck!

Contact the credit card company and tell them you want to dispute the transaction. Tell them the transaction is "unauthorized" because you only authorized 1,500 and they took 8,000. Do it quickly though because you only have a certain amount of time to file the claim. Off the top of my head I think it is 60 days.

I agree with contacting the credit card company. It's probably best to do so in writing as that helps to preserve your rights and provides proof of your disputing the amount of the charge. Be sure to keep a copy of everything that you submit to the credit card company and respond to any of their requests quickly. I wish you the best!!

Im so sorry you are going through this, maybe this will help, first call your credit card company and tell them how much you authorized them to take out. File a unauthorized complaint with the bank your credit card is under. Then tell them you are getting a lawyer, even if you don't, tell them that. then if this is center is connected to the state, tell them you will contact the state to report fraud. Then try to get the CEO of the company's information and contact him directly. Sometimes the people who actually run the orginazation don't always know what goes on behind the scenes. Finally if that does'nt work call the news stations and ask for there investigative reporters, they will get the job done. If you are in Phila, call FOX 29, CBS 10 OR KYW 3. Someone will help you. Let me know how it goes. Good Luck.

I don't see how the Rehab center can 'legally withdraw more' than you agreed to n I am assuming it was in a statement that u have copies to prove it. I would call credit card n let them know that u only authorize a certain amount n not a penny more.
