CVS, Walgreens, Humana are all good options & are pretty low cost. Just remember that there are different tiers for different Rx. You will have to check your Rx to see where they are covered in each plan.

I used a website called One Exchange to help figure out DH's plan for this year. You still want to shop prices even with Rx plans because every dollar spent moves you closer to the donut hole.

You really need a crystal ball that will tell you what the future brings. the generics are relatively cheap, but the Azor is a killer at $200 a refill. Personally I would go with the best Rx plan if I was on expensive prescriptions, because the price is NOT going down.

I recommend an Advantage plan for Medicare, such as Blue Advantage. This includes Parts B and D coverage with certain limits. We've been very happy with Blue Advantage. I hear the Humana advantage program is also fine.

What you really need to do is unfortunately time consuming, and that's to compare the plans and determine which offers the best deal.

I think your BC agent just "passed the buck"!

You could also try various local pharmacies; CVS did have its own plan. I changed pharmacies so I don't know whether it still does. After researching the Part D plans, I found I could get meds cheaper by comparison shopping. Part D would have cost my father much more money.
